'Resident Evil Requiem' Runs At 60 FPS on Switch 2 Without Any 'Major' Drops

Now is the sign to get "Resident Evil Requiem" on Switch 2 soon.

Capcom continues to strengthen Switch 2's third-party lineup in 2026, delivering standout titles like "Resident Evil Requiem," "Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection," and "Street Fighter 6."

Dedicated amiibo figures accompany these releases, enhancing the collection for fans. Hands-on testing of "RE Requiem" in both docked and handheld modes revealed impressive performance, even with slightly scaled-down visuals compared to PC and other consoles.

'Resident Evil Requiem' Brings Immersive Horror on the Go

The demo of Resident Evil Requiem puts players in the shoes of newcomer Grace Ashcroft, navigating dark medical hallways illuminated by flickering alarms and dim lights.

While the Switch 2 version isn't as visually detailed as its PC counterparts, Grace's character model and animations were striking, according to IGN's Logan Plant. This immediately draws players into the tension-filled environment.

Smooth 60 FPS on Switch 2

Capcom targets 60 fps on Switch 2, and performance remained smooth throughout the demo. Grace is unarmed initially, relying on glass bottles and strategic movement to survive, creating a suspenseful, immersive experience.

Even handheld mode delivered solid visuals and performance, though the big-screen setup provided a more intense atmosphere. Small details, such as Grace stumbling while fleeing the monster, enhanced realism and player engagement.

"Resident Evil Requiem," "Resident Evil 7," and "Resident Evil Village" all launch on Switch 2 on February 27, 2026.
